The 15 celebrities have been announced for this year's series of everyone's favourite reality dancing show.

And it's a real mixed bag this year of actors, TV personalities, singers and comedians of all ages.

But who are they and what are their chances of winning the coveted glitterball trophy?


Mollie King

Who? Best known as one-fifth of girl group The Saturdays along with Frankie Bridge, Una Healy, Vanessa White, Rochelle Hulmes, Mollie will likely be a favourite with the show’s younger audience.

Davood Ghadami

Who? Davood is an actor best known for his role as Kush Kazemi in EastEnders for which he won Best Newcomer at the TV Choice Awards.

Who? TV presenter Ruth is best known hosting This Morning along with her husband Eamonn Holmes.

Gemma Atkinson

Who? Actress Gemma is best known for her role on Emmerdale as Carly Hope. She’s also made other TV appearances include The Bill, Law And Order and Waterloo Road.

Reverend Richard Coles

Who? You may know him as one half of the band the Communards (Don't Leave Me This Way, Never Can Say Goodbye). He is now a Church of England priest, but still enjoys making music.

Simon Rimmer

Who? Chef simon is known for presenting Sunday Brunch and has regular TV appearances on the Great British Menu and Saturday Kitchen. He is also a successful entrepreneur with nine restaurants to his name.

Joe McFadden

Who? Joe is an actor best known for his role as surgeon Raf di Lucca in BBC drama Holby City, and past role as PC Joe Mason in Heartbeat.

Aston Merrygold

Who? Aston is a singer and songwriter who was one quarter of boyband JLS. The band appeared on The X Factor in 2008, coming second to winner Alexandra Burke, who is also a contestant in this year's Strictly.

Susan Calman

Who? Comic Susan, from Scotland, is a broadcaster and a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4, appearing on shows including the News Quiz, the Unbelievable Truth, Now Show, Dilemma, I’m Sorry I Haven't A Clue and So Wrong It's Right.

Who? Brian is an award-winning comedian, television presenter, singer and actor best know for his self-titled TV programme The Brian Conley Show.

Chizzy Akudolu

Who? Actress Chizzy is best known for playing heart surgeon Mo in Holby City for the last five years. She's also a brown belt in Karate so don't mess with her!

Who? Broadcaster Charlotte has been with the ITV news team for three years, having presented Sky’s breakfast show with Eamon Holmes, whose wife Ruth Langsford is also set to waltz and tango this year.

Debbie McGee

Who? TV personality Debbie, wife of the late magician Paul Daniels, is no stranger to dance – she has performed in a number of disciplines including classical ballet, cabaret, theatre and films.

Jonnie Peacock

Who? Paralympian Jonnie, a below-the-knee amputee, is the first contestant with a disability to take part in Strictly. He won his first gold medal in London 2012 and has gone on to win every major event that he’s entered.

Alexandra Burke

Who? Alexandra won The X Factor in 2008 and became the first female solo artist to sell more than one million copies of her debut single Hallellujah, which went on to be the top selling single for that year in the UK.
