Gareth Thomas has sensationally quit The Jump just days before the final. The former Welsh international rugby player has cited “personal reasons” for his departure.
This leaves a gap in the final which will be filled by TOWIE star Lydia Bright, who was the most recent contestant to be kicked off the show.
A spokesman for The Jump said: "Gareth has withdrawn from the competition for personal reasons. As she was the last person to be eliminated, Lydia will return for the final."
Gareth is the fourth celeb to bow out of the skiing show after Vogue Williams, Bradley Wiggins and Caprice Bourret.
Vogue didn’t even make it to the first episode of the series and was replaced by Amy Willerton due to a knee injury.
Sir Bradley couldn’t hide his devastation when he was forced to drop out because of a small break in his leg. The Olympic cyclist uploaded a picture of his leg and foot in a brace onto Instagram.
A source told The Sun: “Gareth was devastated to have to leave. He’s had the time of his life and thought he was in with a shot of winning.
“He’s left due to personal reasons and has travelled back home from Austria to be with his family.
“Lydia was obviously gutted to hear that Gareth had to quit but she’s thrilled to be back in the competition as his replacement.”
