Caprice Bourret has quit The Jump after suffering from a “mystery illness”. She is the latest casualty to bow out of the show behind Irish model Vogue Williams and Olympic cyclist Bradley Wiggins.
Speaking to the RadioTimes.com, a representative for the 45-year-old star said: “Caprice has actually withdrawn from the competition entirely due to illness.”
On Sunday’s show, host Davina McCall announced on the weekend that the model was too ill to compete in the ski cross, leaving viewers wondering whether she would be back.
It has not been revealed exactly what has prompted the star to pull out of the skiing competition, but her departure comes just weeks since she fractured her ribs during a ski jump while training.
Last week she also uploaded a picture of herself looking battered and bruised after her round on the skeleton (see below).
Poor Vogue didn’t even get to appear in the show after injuring herself so badly before the series started that she needs an operation to rebuild her right knee.
And Bradley – who was initially down to win the show – was set back with an ankle injury.
He said: “I’m gutted. Really gutted.”
The show has been plagued with injures since it started in 2014 – the most serious being former Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle’s broken neck.
The Jump is back on Channel 4 this Sunday at 6.30pm.
