Strictly Come Dancing has returned and although most eyes are on the favourites to win, the bookies are already gearing up for the first elimination race.

And it’s Susannah Constantine who’s top of the chop list, which is pretty harsh considering Seann Walsh appeared the most rhythmically challenged.

The TV presenter and author is the 2/1 favourite to depart from the BBC One series as excitement builds ahead of the first live show later this month.

The 15 celebs got to showcase their moves on Saturday's launch programme, and poor Susannah's odds tumbled from 50/1 to 100/1.

Comic Walsh is next at odds of 4/1 to be the first to leave, ahead of Paralympian Lauren Steadman (6/1), cricketer Graeme Swann (7/1) and TV doctor Ranj Singh (8/1).

“The stars are hard at work practicing their moves ahead of the live shows but everything is pointing towards a struggle for Susannah," said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.

“We think her and Anton might well need a few extra sessions between now and then if she’s to survive and she’s the clear favourite to be the first to be eliminated."

Meanwhile former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts and Capital FM DJ Vick Hope remain the bookies’ joint favourites to win the show at 3/1.

Red Dwarf’s Danny John-Jules and BBC Three journalist Stacey Dooley are both next at 8/1 in the betting.

“Our punters can’t make their minds up between Ashley and Vick at the moment with plenty of support for both, but the pair are well in clear in our betting and it just goes to show how they are the ones to beat to the Glitterball Trophy this year,” added Aitkenhead.

Odds correct at time of writing and may fluctuate depending on bookmaker.

Strictly Come Dancing’s first live show airs on September 22.
