‘I will wait for Georgia’ says ejected Survival of the Fittest boy Joel Bennett

Thursday 22nd February 2018

He barely had time to get a word in edgeways but ejected Survival of the Fittest contestant Joel Bennett caught the attention of one girl in particular.

And the 28-year-old hopes to pick up where he left off with feisty Georgia Cole once the show ends.

The pair stole a kiss on Wednesday’s episode – with some of the group questioning his motives as the boys were waiting for a replacement.

But Joel, the first boy to be replaced, says she is completely his type (on paper) and he would like to date her properly.

“I will wait for Georgia,” he said. “I really like her. I have strong feelings for her.

“Once David gave me the green light to get to know her, from that point on I pursued her because I wanted to get closer to her.

“I can understand why people think it’s convenient because it was the same day we lost the team challenge but for me, feelings are genuine.

“A new boy might go in, she might fall for someone else but if she doesn’t I’d like to see her on the outside. When she comes out, I’d like to date her.

“From a selfish point of view, I’d love it if she was the next one to be voted out so we can pick up where we left off.”

Talking about other relationships forming in the camp, Joel believes James Middleton is falling hard for Sam Dewhurst.

Callum and Maz, although on the outside world would be very mismatched and would probably never meet each other, they seem very genuine,” he said. “I think they have a real connection.

“I think Tristan and Mettisse have a real connection. James is starting to look like a giddy little boy, he looks like a man who has fallen in love with Sam.”

Tonight new boy Tom Wilson, 26, will enter the lodge.

Survival of the Fittest continues tonight from 9pm on ITV2.
