Last minute surge of support for Paul and Laura ahead of Love Island finale

Love Island 2018 is coming to a close but the competition itself has already been won, according to the bookmakers.

Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer have been the favourites pretty much since the beginning—becoming odds-on within no time at all due to their warm personalities and fairytale love story.

Because of this, it’s been difficult for anyone wanting to place a bet in the ‘winning couple’, ‘top girl’ and ‘top boy’ markets due to the fact that there is no obvious competition for the power duo, who are now as short as 1/8.

However things are changing and now some bookies are offering odds for winning couple without Jack and Dani, first and second place forecast, and also top 3 exact order.

Paddy Power is offering some decent prices for each of these markets, which are likely the be the best opportunity to make any money from the ITV2 show.

Jack and Dani Dyer (1st), Paul Knops and Laura Anderson (2nd), Josh Denzel and Kazimir Crossley (3rd) are 4/1 with the bookie.

Or if you’re after a bigger return, you can get 14/1 for Jack and Dani (1st), Paul and Laura (2nd), and Alex George & Alexandra Cane (3rd).

See below for new markets.

Elsewhere bookmaker Coral is also reporting that Paul and Laura’s odds of winning Love Island 2018 have been slashed to 14/1 from 40/1, after a wave of bets on the couple to go all the way.

Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “They might still be behind Jack and Dani by some way in our betting but there can be no denying there’s real momentum behind Paul and Laura in the villa right now. We’ve been overwhelmed with bets on the couple winning the show and right now we simply can’t rule it out.”

Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer remain the odds on favourites, at 1/8, whilst Josh Denzel and Kazimir Crossley are 11/2.

Wes Nelson and Megan Barton-Hanson are 16/1 with Alex George and Alexandra Cane all the way out to 33/1 after their troubles last night. The Alex’s are now the 8/11 favourites to be the next couple to leave the show.

“It looks all over for Alex and Alex now and it would be a shock if they weren’t both the next to leave the villa, let alone win the show,” added Aitkenhead.

Love Island continues tonight from 9pm on ITV2.
