Liam Halewood 'gutted' to see Kem Cetinay leave Dancing on Ice ahead of final

Monday 5th March 2018

Liam Halewood says he's "gutted" that Kem Cetinay narrowly missed out on a place in the Dancing on Ice final.

The Love Island star lost out to Max Evans in the skate off on Sunday's semi-final, leaving the rugby player to join Brooke Vincent and Jake Quickenden in the final.

In his column, this week in video form (see below), Liam says Max set himself apart this week due to his strength and ability to perform lifts with his partner.

"Kem, I'm gutted that Max out danced you this week," said Liam. "Even though you pulled out a beautiful routine, the cowboy one goes back to how cheesy you are, where as Max has got the strength to lift his partner, and I think that's what set him apart this week."

Speaking of Max, Liam now has a special pet name for the rugby player.

"Max – fabulous. You really graced me this week," he said "I can't believe how you flew across the ice. You looked like Hercules, selling it to us on the telly. What's what we want, we want a show, we want grace."

Liam also spoke of his delight for bookies' favourite Jake, who picked up 10s across the board from judges Torvill and Dean, Jason Gardiner and Ashley Banjo.

"Jake, you deserve those 10s. I can't get over how fabulous you were. My mate Ray Quinn will be very proud of you."

Finally Liam says Brooke, the only female in the final, deserved an extra point for her routine to the Spice Girls.

"The past three weeks Brooke has surprised me by coming out of her shell. Brooke, you really flew and deserved your scores – in fact I think you deserved an extra point."

The Dancing on Ice grand final takes place on Sunday from 6pm on ITV.
