'Lord Sugar is a lemon sherbet': Watch Sarah Lynn's bizarre Apprentice audition video

Thursday 28th September 2017

Sarah Lynn has managed to slip down the odds table following the release of her audition video for The Apprentice.

The former bookies’ favourite has slipped from 5/1 to 7/1 after comparing herself to Margaret Thatcher and Lord Sugar with a lemon sherbet sweet.

Lynn, owner of a sweet-gifting business, was initially joint favourite with clothing company boss Sarah Jayne Clark when the 18 hopefuls on this year’s show were first announced.

But they have both slipped down behind recruitment firm owner James White (6/4) and sales assistant Harrison Jones (3/1).

Lemon sherbet?

In her video, Lynn, 35, arrogantly says: “I really don’t think I need a game plan. I think tactics are for people that are game players. I’m more of a game changer.

“I compare myself to Margret thatcher because I’m tough and a lady that’s not for turning like she wasn’t.”

But while this is quite normal spiel for big headed wannabes on The Apprentice, you haven’t heard the most vom-inducing part.

“I’m the queen of confectionary,” she declares. “The most exciting thing about sweets is they're colourful, they’re fun and they make people smile, just like me.”

But it doesn’t end there.

“I would say Lord Sugar is a lemon sherbet. He is bright, firm and crunchy on the outside but I think in the middle there’s a fizz and bang.”

We’d love to see the look on Lord Sugar, Karren Brady and Claude Littner’s faces when they hear that.

The Apprentice starts on October 4 from 9pm on BBC One.
