Love Island’s Wes Nelson has been lined up for Dancing On Ice 2019, according to reports.
The 20-year-old founder of the infamous 'Do Bits Society' has caught the eye of show bosses from the ITV skating show after “impressing producers in an audition”.
Wes, who left Love Island 2018 in fourth place with girlfriend Megan Barton-Hanson, is said to be one of a list of potential celebrities that are being targeted by Dancing On Ice producers.
He wouldn’t be the first reality star from the ITV2 dating programme who has battled it out for the ice trophy—Kem Cetinay came fourth earlier this year.
A TV insider told The Sun: "Wes has boundless energy and he's already displayed great rhythm on Love Island, so Dancing On Ice execs thought he’d be a great choice for the series.
"He has a huge social media following and bosses know that a lot of Love Island fans will be desperate to see how he does.
"It will be a viewing figure boost. He's also a great sport so won't mind donning sequinned costumes and showing off his body for votes.”
Wes worked as a nuclear systems design engineer before entering the villa, but it doesn’t look like he’s angling to go back anytime soon.
After returning from Majorca, he revealed his old company has "left the door open" for him, but he said he is "up for seeing what opportunities are available for now.”
