The blind auditions are over and all the teams have been picked for The Voice UK’s battle rounds.
And Lydia Lucy can’t wait to see all the shortlisted acts prove they have what it takes to be a singing sensation.
Sunday’s episode saw the final pieces of the teams secured – and one in particular caught the eye of the former Team Will finalist.
Scarlett Quigley’s rendition of Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again from Phantom of the Opera impressed Lydia so much that she thinks the 20-year-old could be a contender to win the competition.
She said in her latest Reality Bite vlog (below): “Her tone was beautiful and pure and still had youth in it which is refreshing. I’m glad that she went with Jennifer, I think she’s got a good chance in the competition. She’s unique, young and fresh, and to be singing opera it’s really quirky.”
Joining will.i.am and the Black Eyed Peas for the battles are Chantelle Nandi, Wesu Wallace, Loaded Sista, Anna Willison Holt, Donel Mangena, Kade Smith, Tai, Mark Asari, Paige Young and Rhianna Abrey.
With Sir Tom Jones and his guest mentor Kylie Minogue are Chloe Jones, Jade Williams, Lucy Milburn, Ruti Olajugbagbe, Simon Davies, Eliza Gutteridge, Saskia Eng, Wayne Ellington, Courtney O'Neil and Kalon Rae.
Acts with Jennifer Hudson and guest mentors Leona Lewis and Mo Jamil are Jake Benson, Belle Voci, Jason Nicholson-Porter, Ant & Ox, Gayatri Nair, Ross Anderson, Jilly Riley,
Tesni Jones, Scarlett Quigley and Harri Oakland.
Newest judge Olly Murs, along with guest mentor Craig David are Lauren Bannon, RYT, Ivy Paige, Jamie Grey, Chris James, Kirby Frost, Holly Ellison, Shane McCormack, Bailey Nelsen and Debbie Aramide.
The Voice UK continues from 8pm on Saturday on ITV.
