The Spice Girls WILL attend the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Mel B has confirmed.
And Scary Spice all but confirmed that the girl group would perform at the royal nuptials in May to her US daytime talk show co-stars on The Real (think Loose Women).
Reality Bite reported on February 2 that the creators of 90s ‘Girl Power’ – Geri ‘Ginger’ Horner, Mel ‘Scary’ Brown, Mel ’Sporty’ Chisholm and Emma ‘Baby’ Bunton – are reforming this year for a number of endorsement deals, a new TV talent show and TV projects in China.
When asked by the chat show panel whether she knew anyone who was going to the wedding, she nodded.
"I don't know if I should have said that," she said, before adding: “Us five Spice Girls have been invited.”
Before adding: “Why am I so honest?” When the audience and panel erupted with delight.
The panel then asked about the group performing at Harry and Meghan’s reception, Mel B threw papers she had been holding in the air and said: "I need to go. I’m going to get fired."
Asked what the invitation looked like by host Loni Love, Mel said: "That's getting too personal if I actually describe it."
That is, before she revealed that it came in a box.
"I'm not saying any more!” She declared. “I’ve said enough."
The girl group recently met up in Geri’s Hertfordshire home along with manager Simon Fuller, who they later confirmed that they had signed with again to explore "some incredible new opportunities together" as a band.
It’s the first time the five have been together since 2012.
They said in a statement: "We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of the Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations."
