Whether you’re a royalist or not, you can’t help but secretly love Prince Harry.

He’s the guy blokes want to go to the pub with, the guy women want to date, and the fun BFF everyone wants a piece of.

So its unsurprising to hear that the current fifth in line to the throne is the most “relatable” member of the royal family.

According to new research, 32 per cent of us think the Prince of Wales is most in tune with the public.

Surprisingly, second in the list is royal-to-be Meghan Markle, who gets 29 per cent ahead of Kate Middleton, with just 13 per cent thinking the The Duchess of Cambridge is relatable.

In third place is Princess Beatrice of York with 15 per cent, followed by the Duke of Edinburgh with 15 per cent, with poor Kate taking fifth place.

Just four per cent felt that the Queen was a relatable member of the royal family – and poor William didn’t even make the top five.

Despite Harry and Meghan’s popularity, 72 per cent said they didn’t want them to rule the country, with 61 per cent saying it would change them too much.

The survey saw 2,311 Britons aged 18 and over quizzed about their thoughts on the monarchy and who they felt the most connected to.

All respondents were initially asked ‘What are your thoughts on the Royal Family?’ to which the majority of those taking part said ‘they’re great for tourism’ (27 per cent) and ‘I love them’ (26 per cent).

Other respondents admitted that they felt the royal family members were ‘not entirely sure what they do’ (20 per cent) and some others felt ‘the monarchy is an outdated institution’ (14 per cent).

George Charles, spokesperson for VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, which conducted the research, said: “Whether you know what the monarchy do and whether you love them or not, you can’t deny that they’re a huge attraction in the UK for foreign visitors.

“And I bet most people confess that they’ll find themselves glued to the TV when there’s a Royal Wedding or something similar.

“Love or hate them, we’re all a little bit obsessed with them, even if it’s a guilty pleasure of ours.”
