Stacey Dooley looks set for Strictly Come Dancing victory

Friday 26th October 2018

Could we already have a Strictly Come Dancing winner?

The bookmakers are reporting one-way traffic in a single contestant, who is blowing the rest of the wannabe dancers out of the water.

Coral has continued to see a rush of bets on journalist Stacey Dooley to win the BBC One dancing show, with the star dominating the betting as the 7/4 favourite to lift the Glitterball Trophy this winter.

She started out at around 8/1, meaning that anyone of her early supporters could be in with a nice return if she goes all the way.

Stacey, who is partnered with Kevin Clifton, will be hoping to keep up their dominance this Halloween weekend with a tango to the Doctor Who theme tune.

Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “Over 70% of the bets we’ve taken this week on have been on Stacey to win, which is one of the highest percentages we have seen this early in a Strictly competition. It’s one way traffic and punters are backing her to win without any doubts in their minds.”

Seann Walsh has seen his odds cut on being the next celebrity to be eliminated, now the 9-4 joint favourite to be next to go alongside Ranj Singh.

“Seann has done remarkably well to make it to Halloween considering the cries for him to leave already but our betting suggests he might have a nasty surprise on Sunday evening when the votes are revealed,” added Aitkenhead.
