Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Dances and songs ahead of the first live show

It’s a two-horse race in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing ahead of Saturday’s first live show.

Ashley Roberts and Vick Hope are joint bookies’ favourites at 3/1 to win the BBC One series.

The former Pussycat Doll and Capital FM DJ both impressed following the group dance earlier this month.

They will have to prove if they can live up to their early backing as they take to the dancefloor this weekend.

Ashley and dance partner Pasha Kovalev will dance the Viennese Waltz to Perfect by Ed Sheeran featuring Beyoncé, while Vick and partner Graziano will Jive to Feel It Still by Portugal. The Man.

But their victory isn't written in stone just yet of course—depending on the celebs’ performances over the coming weeks, anything could happen.

Stacey Dooley and Danny John-Jules, who are both currently 8/1, could well be nipping at their heels if they play it right.

Journalist Stacey and partner Kevin Clifton will Quickstep to Dancing by Kylie Minogue, while Red Dwarf's Danny and Amy Dowden will Foxtrot to the Top Cat Theme by Hoyt Curtin (we can't wait for this!).

TV presenter Susannah Constantine is the favourite to be the first elimination of the series, at 5/2, with comedian Seann Walsh next in the firing line at 5/1.

The What Not To Wear presenter is dancing the Samba to Tico Tico by Carmen Miranda with partner Anton du Beke, while Walsh and Katya Jones will Tango to SexyBack by Justin Timberlake.

Strictly Come Dancing winner odds

Cricketer Graeme Swann is 6/1 to get the boot, followed by Lauren Steadman and Ranj Singh (both 8/1).

None of the 15 stars will be exiting the series this week—their scores will carry over to next weekend, when viewers get a chance to vote for their favourite couples.

The first dances and songs have been revealed by show bosses and feature a mixture of toe-tapping tunes from Ed Sheeran, Whitney Houston, Tom Jones and Booker T and The M.G.’s.

See below for the full list of songs and dances in week one.

Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday from 6.15pm on BBC One.
