The X Factor 2018: Winner predictions and big band losers

Monday 19th November 2018

Hello guys and gals,

Hope you are all well. What a week it’s been. It seems my column last week rubbed some people up the wrong way and I got a bit of backlash from some of you. But I guess if I am allowed to give my opinion, you are entitled to yours.

Anyways let’s do this… It was the quarter finals of the X Factor on the weekend and big band nearly turned into big disaster thanks to some very dodgy song choices.

Dalton Harris was without a doubt the best, and his vocal was outstanding, but was it a big band song? No. A movie soundtrack song more like. The outfit again was amazing though—I want a word with his stylist.

I can’t say the same about Scarlett Lee. What on earth did they put her in? The dress was an old cabaret-style dress and the makeup was not on point, which is a complete contrast to her vocals. Scarlett, you surprise me every week with how much of star you could be if you would just sack your stylist.

Acacia and Alisha, aka A-Star. You really are the cats with nine lives. Winning the big band sing off against Shan, mmmm not sure about that, and I don’t think the nation was either. Especially when Shan’s performance in the first place was so much better than yours. If I here bang bang from those two again I’ll bang their heads together.

The X Factor winner odds

Danny Tetley, I love you mate. This has been you personal dream and I know it because I know you. You are doing incredible, but for the semi finals I want you to really show the nation your true star ability and win the show.

Little mention to our scouser Anthony Russell. It’s nice to see someone genuinely loving the whole experience, going off your social media posts. You’re doing it for us Scousers—but I think next week will be the last week for you.

Oh and Bella Penfold, I’m glad you’ve gone as I just didn’t think you had enough star quality.

My predictions for the finals are Dalton for the win (1/4), Scarlett (8/1) in second place and Danny (33/1) I’m third place.

See you next for week but till then I’m going for ride on Harry Potter as I am in Orlando writing this.

Luv and hugs,

Liam x
