Tia Latham leaves the Survival of the Fittest lodge after boys cast deciding vote

Tuesday 13th February 2018

Tia Latham has become the first contestant to be booted off Survival of the Fittest.

The 28-year-old was ditched by the boys on the ITV2 reality show after just a few days at the lodge.

Latham found herself in the bottom three with Georgia Cole and Mariam Musa after a public vote, and it was up to the boys to decide who should go and make way for a new girl.

Host Laura Whitmore came to deliver the news after the girls team lost out to the boys in the first challenge.

Jenny Cole and Georgie Clarke were safe, along with new girl Lottie James.

The welsh farmer replaced Danny Dyer’s daughter Dani, who had to exit the show due to a shoulder injury.

When asked what she would like her legacy to be, Tia said: "Me just being myself, being open and showing the world that there are people like me out there and we are normal, we look normal, we interact normally, people interact normally with you and there is nothing to fear and it is what it is.”

The model, known for her twerking, will be replaced by a new contestant on tonight’s show.

Despite the boys’ early lead, Latham says she believes the girls will win the battle of the sexes overall, and revealed that she wants pal Jenny to win.

"She is a fighter, like I'm a fighter, and we will fight until the end," said Tia.

“I’m rooting for Jenny 100 per cent."

New girl Mettisse Campbell will join the lodge on tonight's show.

Survival of the Fittest is continues tonight from 9pm on ITV2.
