It seems like Malta's entry Christabelle has been on stage  since she was old enought to walk.

Apparently she was there from the age of three and now 23 years later she will represent Malta at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Taboo.

Following a brief stint on television in her teens – during which she hosted Teen Traffic and Teen Trouble (both nominated for a Malta Television Award) – Christabelle focused on her music career and by participating in several song contests including the Maltese selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and another event in the United States.

Christabelle has worked with both American and British producers on a string of songs some of which were hit,

She has been feted as a singer and has won eight Bay Music Awards, the highest accolade in the Maltese music industry.

She has shared a stage with some of the top performers world-famous artistes including Gigi D’Alessio and Laura Pausini.

It was fourth time lucky for Christabelle at the national final selection after she finished 8th in 2014, 2nd in 2015 and 4th in 2016 before her success this year with Taboo.

She co-wrote Taboo with Johnny Sanchez, Muxu and Thomas G:Son, the latter of which wrote Loreen’s 2012, Eurovision-winning song, Euphoria.
